New cinestill video: Stephen Schaub
« on: September 03, 2019, 11:35:28 PM »
Cinestill has a new video out. It's about Vermont photographer Stephen Schaub.

And ever since seeing it, I've been wondering what lens he uses on his Leica?
(lens visible at 2.22) https://youtu.be/cFVEwWp_1Rc?t=142

This one's really puzzling. Looks like a pinhole, but it's used handheld, something pinholes are not usually good for.

It appears that he uses something called a Pinzonie pinhole lens with an FL of 28mm, and another pinhole at FL 18mm. Here's the description on a Schaub-related website:

A photo on his Tumblr page shows a 3-focal length pinhole turret on his M3. Looks like we all have some experimenting to do :)

It's definitely the first time I see something like that!
I'll definitely have to see if I can't hack something similar for my FED.
