This is definitely a fun read

If you happen to be in LA on Beverly Blvd. check it out for a definite time warp :)

That is heartwarming indeed :) The opposite of me starting to develop film at home and then a month later finding out that the mom & pop film shop that used to process all my rolls had gone out of business :'(

All the mom and pop shops are already closed in my area. The only place that will still process my film is the drugstore who sends it to Montreal for a multi-day service. I so miss being able to talk to the printer... Now the only printer I can realistically talk to has a name badge that says "H.P."... it's not very talkative.

While I was walking along Avenue A today shooting all the 99 cent pizza joints I could find (there were many), I came across a small photo lab. Not mom and pop but small along an old time commercial strip.

I noticed it on my twitter feed, but like everything else never followed up on the story. Thanks for the update.
