I shot this roll to test a few things, my 127 backing paper that I cut down from 120 and a bottle of two month old beerenol. I spooled the film from a bulk roll of Ilford HP5+ with my new contraption. http://www.filmwasters.com/forum/index.php?topic=8655.msg132964#msg132964. I loaded the film into my Baby Rolleiflex in a well lit room to see if there were any light leaks. A little light made it to the far edge of the film on the first few shots but nothing got into the picture. The Beerenol was stored in a sealed bottle at room temperature for about two months, it definitely lost strength and I wouldn’t recommend storing it for anywhere near that long. I had to do a bit of manipulation in Gimp to fix the images below. It wouldn’t be good for Darkroom prints. Both shots below were done with a Rondo closeup lens attached.

That is very nice, Bryan! Beerenol seems pretty powerful for a homemade concoction. I like the look of the Vera picture.

This was from last weekend. Canon EOS Elan 7 and 50mm 1.8 lens. 30 second exposure on Ilford Pan 100, developed with Clayton F76+.

I made a second trip to Flower Piano. Here are the photos from that visit. I thought the Mamiya RZ's loud mirror slap might surprise/annoy the musicians, but in the end it didn't faze anyone!

Mine's from a new Holga, a Cherry Blossom limited edition?, a very pink version of an old standby.
I had to replace the sticky shutter, then took it out last night in the rain to test.
Ultrafine 400 film in caffenol.
I'm not sure what Ultrafine film is. the 100 speed seems very like Delta 100 to me, but the 400 I'm still trying to figure out.
Anyway, enough hot air about it all....here's my favorite from the roll.
I scan in color, so tweaked this to make it more moody....hope you like.

All excellent but I really like Becky's "crack in the sky" photo and the photo of Bryan's dog.

Mine are a couple taken from a series I'm putting together about Clacton-on-Sea in Essex using my Oly OM3.

Nice to see dog portraits here, and that one's a gem.

Comparing two focal length pinhole cameras with the same Hasselblad back. The first is 33mm and the second 27mm. Both have 0.2mm pinholes in them.

A couple more 20mm portraits.

I've been having a lot of difficulty with this lens on my Pentax using an M42 > K mount adapter. I mean, granted these shots are close-focused and wide open, so of course they will be prone to "only my nose in focus" syndrome, but I've been having focus problems in general too. The first adapter I got was cheaply made and had no infinity focus. The second adapter (this one) is flush with the Pentax body, and claims to allow infinity focus, but in my tests at f/16 and focused at infinity, I still can't get a crisp photo. There's a seller in the Netherlands who has an original Pentax-branded M42 > K adapter, which should technically be the best bet because Pentax made M42 mount cameras as well as K mount cameras, but the adapter costs something ridiculous like over $100. Worth it? Probably. Oh, btw, the lens focuses great on my Sony A7 with the M42 > E mount adapter, so I know it's not the lens

For $100 you could get a really nice Spotmatic to mount it on.

If the adaptor allows the lens to sit flush on the body, then that's it. Brand will not make the slightest difference. I have a couple of Pentax brand M42>K and a couple of non-branded and they work just the same. Check again, and perhaps borrow an M42 body.

Got to do a couple of cyanotypes when the sun was out earlier in the week but didn't get round to toning them. Hopefully the sun will come out further in this summer and I can play more.

Oh damn, I didn't realize that! Maybe it is the lens then. I looked at it manually through one of Peter's M42 bodies and it looked fine, but maybe I should put a roll through it to really test.

If you get a face tanning lamp you can do them anytime. There's loads on eBay.

What do you use for toning?

I've tried tea of different types but I've never had any success with toning cyanotypes which is basically why I stopped doing them - you can only have so many blue pictures. Would be interesting to see some results of yours sometime with some details of what you do. I might then have another go.

Ive once seen cyanos done on colored paper. If you chose the paper color correctly, the results can be interesting.

I love this Beckster. I really like the look of the Ultrafine 400 - although I'm yet to try some. I've seen a couple of tests and it gets great reviews.
Does anyone know if it's a repackaged film from another manufacturer? It's almost impossible to buy in the Ultafine guise in the UK.
