Archive.org has many issues of the Soviet Photography magazine available for download here. I can't read or understand Russian but the photos speak for themselves and are well worth looking at. You can find the archive here:

These look really good.
With all the Russian stuff in photography, knowing Cyrillic would come in handy.

I agree. I browsed a number of issues and it looks like there're quite a number of really interesting technical articles in there. I used the Google Translator app to be able to read a few headlines and captions. But that's no option for whole articles.
