Is it Friday already?
« on: February 07, 2019, 10:35:13 PM »
What day are we?
I really don't know. Just looking at the picture will give you an idea of why I don't know.
All I know is I thought it would make a nice still life... and be a lot less scary than a selfie...
But I'm lucky in a sense as I managed not to put any snot on the camera :)

You've got a third of the ingredients of Caffenol-C-H in that picture. All you need additionally is instant coffee and soda. ;)

Get well soon, François!

I hope to be able to shoot some film today (if I can convince the kids to join me outside). :)

Thanks guys. I'm slowly getting over the hill.
The fever finally died down. So that's a good sign... And my nose is strangely still attached to my face.... ::)

I hope some underexposed Kodak Ultra 400 will cheer you up, Francois.  ;) Last weekend I was ill, and the weather was fabulous. Now I'm well and the weather is sh***!  :(

Kai that's a great shot. I had to visit google to remember what the Contax AX was, and it's just so cool.

Francois, ever since I looked at your photo I feel like I'm coming down with something.

Jeff, let's get a garbage can theme going.  Kodak Retina I with Ilford Delta 400 developed in Rodinal 1:50.

Thanks Jeff! I thoroughly enjoy the AX, it's so versatile. I can recommend it to anybody who has lenses with a C/Y mount.

The level of versatility and quality is always very high in the weekend threads. This thread is no exception. I like all contributions without an exception! François' drugstore is great, the border goes well with the vit C bottle, Jeff's trash is a very cool composition (I like the play with the different shades in the background and foreground which somehow gives me the feeling of looking at a checkered board), Kai's photo is mysterious in a way that I wonder whether or not the yellow square shape on the ground actually is the door that covered the hole in the wall -- and that makes me wonder what popped the door out to leave that strange building. Great story! :) Peter's photos of Cuba feel like they take me into a different world and Bryan's documentary style photos are very interesting and haunting.

I managed to go for a quick photo walk in Goslar yesterday, which is right next to where I live. Goslar is a historic town which is well over a 1.000 years old. It has an ancient city center that's a Unesco World Heritage site. It's fun and relaxing to roam around the narrow streets in the old town which are often cobblestone streets. If it weren't for the cars, traffic signs and the utterly stupid graffiti, you'd feel like you'd been brought back in time. It's a very calm and beautiful place with an atmosphere full of history. I've taken the following photos with my Lipca Rollop TLR on Kodak Portra 160 (dev'ed in Digibase C41).

One more for the weekend.  We had 7 inches of snow on Monday and another 6 inches today, that's a lot for the Puget Sound lowlands.  My wife decided this would be a good time to go on the swing.  Polaroid 250 Land Camera with Fujifilm FP-100c.

Your wife's right. There's never a wrong time to get on a swing. :)
