Hmm. I have some Ultramax in the freezer. I'll need to try it at ISO 800.
I had a rare opportunity, last weekend, for some "then and now" images. Collings Foundation is currently touring the West Coast with some WW 2 era aircraft, covering Sacramento north to Seattle in June. (See
https://www.collingsfoundation.org/events/). I caught the tour at John Wayne/Santa Ana. Long story short, I now have two sets of aircraft images, separated by 75-odd years:
- B-17: one of the 13 original prototypes, displayed at the Golden Gate International Exposition (aka San Francisco Worlds Fair) in 1940; and a late wartime production version, B-17G
- P-51: warming up at an RAF airbase in 1944; and a late TF-51D (trainer version with double cockpit)
My images were taken with the Leica M4-P, 35mm and 50mm Summicrons with yellow filter, and Fomapan 400
