Hello again. Lots of time online tonight!

Harrow Technical's website says that they are retiring at the end of the month, and not accepting any more repairs.

Damnit. Who am I going to send my Spotmatics to now?

In the US, Eric Hendrickson is considered to be the Pentax guru. I haven't personally used him, but have heard very good things about his work over the years.

I sent my ME Super to Eric, and he fixed it. No complaints (which is actually a HUGE deal for me in the world of camera repairs ... oh the complaints I have for some so-called repairmen )

I agree with that. I've had one really bad experience with a local repair shop and decided to learn to do it myself as much as I can. I had a stuck Schneider lens, brought it to a camera store who sent it god knows where. When the lens came back, it was mis-reassembled and I ended up having to fix it myself. Lucky for me the camera store didn't charge me for it.

But I also had a terrific experience with Nikon Canada's repair service in Montreal.
