Free stuff!
« on: October 18, 2007, 01:40:16 PM »
I've been having a bit of a clear-out, and have come across a bunch of stuff I know I'm unlikely to use. If anyone's interested in any of it, drop me a PM and it's yours.  :)

Adox Police Film Set
Comprises one roll of 35mm Police Film, and one 50ml SPUR Nanospeed Professional Developer (to make one litre)
Incidentally, I've just noticed it's out of date as of last month.

Selection of Bergger 120 rollfilm
1 x ISO 400, 1 x ISO 200, 1 x ISO 100, 1 x ISO 15

10 rolls of Agfa APX 400
Dated 01/2003

Sample pack of 10x8in Bergger FB paper
Warm tone, neutral tone and warm tone ivory

Quite a few sheets of Hahnemuehle Smooth Fine Art inkjet paper
Think it's A3

Box of Rollei Pan 25 film
10 x 35mm rolls

Rollei RHC Document Type Developer
One litre, for processing of technical films or, when printing, for boosting contrast by up to one grade

Lewis Morley
Softback book

The great LIFE photographers
Softback, but like a brick

I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask the recipients to cover postage costs, now that I'm a poverty-stricken freelance, and I'd prefer the stuff to go to reasonably active Filmwasters (i.e. more than a dozen or so posts).

can I bag the rollei film? - I know, bit of a turncoat after what I said about it, but I have a specific 35mm project in mind ......?

A couple of rolls of 120 would encourage me to post more often.   ::)

One would happily relieve you of the smooth Hahneemuly stuff.

If that's OK with one.

What a GREAT thread. Well done, Ailsa.
 ;D ;D ;D

I encourage more of you to post things like this. I'd also suggest that you send me a PM just prior to posting so that I can be first in line for any goodies.

What a nice idea Ailsa, is the Lewis Morley book still available? Being a fellow Aussie, I'd be interested in that one...

A great idea, it has really got me thinking what might be sat gathering dust that others may be able to make use of.

I'll be popping down to the post office with the last few packages later this afternoon (several went into the post yesterday) so the freebies should be with their various recipients within the next few days.

I also have one last thing to give away. Drum roll...

It's a self-assembly (aren't they all?) 6x9cm pinhole camera kit - think it's cardboard.

First person to respond gets it.

thanks Ailsa! Very kind.  I got the Bergger paper and managed to get to test it out. It's lovely stuff. I'm still on a learning curve in the darkroom but I thought I'd use it to try out some split grade printing for the first timr (I did a few trial runs on some 5x7 Ilford RC). I thought I'd post the neutral paper result, which to my eyes erred on the cool side which I liked Having tried Forte cooltone, I think this is better, as a neutral to cool paper you can do more with it. This was developed in Ilford PQ which tend to warm up neutral papers slightly. The postage money will be posted this week  :)

Janet - PM sent.

Karl - lovely result! Glad you liked the paper.

Andrea - also lovely result! You seem to have got more out of that film than I ever managed (hence why I decided to dump it on some poor, unsuspecting soul...).

Thanks Ailsa!

The pinhole camera arrived safely last night. I'm very excited and might even get a chance to build it this weekend.
