It was mentioned on a different thread that it looks like a re-branded Wolverine scanner.  It would be interesting to see some scans from it.

While I'm happy for the revival of film, and its peripherals, $170 for this seems a bit steep in my opinion. I mean, I could probably get a V550/V600 for about the same price and scan more formats while at it. Hell, I bought my crappy V370 for $65 refurbished from Adorama.

More "show" than "go."  Don't buy it if you are needing quality scans.

So far, the only thing preventing me from getting one is the fact it can't handle 120 film.

The appeal over a flatbed or many other dedicated units, in theory, is speed. Something that can buzz through a roll of film in a few minutes would be very nice. Why someone hasn't restarted Pakon production I don't know.

Is this based on actual use or speculation? If the former, care to post some samples?

'cause there is definitely a difference between horrible, bad, so-so, ok, fine, good, great.
For me, great would be a drum scan.
Good would be a dedicated film scanner.
Fine would be an Epson flatbed.
Ok would be my cheap instant film scanner.
Bad would be older instant film scanners I tried.
Horrible would be the "I never noticed aunt Bertha had a big beard?"
