Here's the story of Ian Treherne, the blind photographer.
The man is deaf and was diagnosed with retinis pigmentosa at age 15. The disease first affects the rods in the eye causing loss of peripheral vision. After that, other problems get added to the equation until total blindness.

But still, he decided to become a photographer.
