Topic: Vogue chooses film

I just saw a French (from France) show about the work of professional photographer.
They were interviewing fashion photographer Fran?ois Halard who told the interviewer that Vogue made him swear never to turn digital! That was a big surprise to me. I must say things might have changed since the show first aired in 2004... but I doubt it.

It was fun to see him on assignment in New York. He was shooting some Fuji69's, Pentax 67 and a folder I just didn't quite recognise. All 120 film cameras. Good quality for such a top notch magazine.

I took a magazine class last year, at ICP, with two top picture editors, and they said that there are many magazines that are going back to film because they have had so many problems with raw files (including Conde Nast magazines).

I especially liked the part where they said that shooting film was a "noble thing these days"... makes me feel like aristocracy
