dark room light - globes?
« on: July 05, 2017, 07:39:23 AM »
Looking to buy one of these. What globes do they use? Generic globes or specific $$$ types....
Tried Googling but it's been unclear.

TIA

Though I can't remember if they're the regular type or mogul type...
I'll check mine and report back.

EDIT

OK, I just opened it and inside is a Mazda 100/110v 15 watt clear sign bulb with a medium screw-in socket.

yeah all the examples I saw was clear too. but you call that medium screw-in? I think I've only ever seen that and the bigger one.

a check on wikipedia later and... they're called Edison screws :) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edison_screw
and what's standard here (in Sweden atleast) is E27, E14, and E10 bulbs. Well, maybe not E10 as they've been replaced with LED lights :P

That would be what they call intermediate size. E17 in America and E14 small ES or SES in Europe for the safelight bulb.

I think I must have pretty much every type of bulb around the house. I even have a project for a high voltage transformer for a lamp with a mogul/Goliath bulb I have in the shed.
