Welcome back Leon!
I hope you had a great holiday.

Wonderful images, as always.
Did you notice there's a face in the rock (image 2). Haunting! Love it.

is that some sort of cross in image 3? Fascinating. Tell us more if you can?

For me, images 2 and 3 work the strongest---possibly a bit of burning the sky of #3 and you're golden.

Lovely stuff Leon - right up my street  :)

You have worked wonders with the subtle highlights and light tones in the latter 2 photos but I really like the moodiness of the first one.

Great stuff Leon, looks like you have been using the
10x ND filter again.  It's fun using the filter and it
slows you down which is good.

thanks for the comments ... Susan, I'm nto sure what it is.  It is usually underwater when the tide is in and is right on the edge of a harbour entrance so I reckonit's quite dangerous - I cant imagine it was a mooring point as it is on the rocks.  it's weird, that's for sure.

Jon, strangely enough, the only shot here with an ND filter is the middle one, and that was only 3 stop one.  the other 2 were taken at between 5 and 6 in the morning before the sun had risen hence the long exposures.

Druid, I think that the Michael Kenna effect is working. There's a lot of (albeit horizontal) Easter Island going on in #2.
 ;D

Lovely snaps. Well worth you getting up at 4AM on our behalf. I look forward to seeing more from your trip.

Hello,

I'm new to all this forum stuff and probably am about to commit herasy by asking a technical question...

What type of camera were these taken on?

I've been experimenting with my Holga, some string and the bulb setting but haven't got the results yet...

Thanks,

Chops

Heresy? No such thing here...

As for the camera type, Leon probably used a Holga and some string (he's like that), the rest of mortals though would need to use a 6x6 device like a Bronica to get work like this. Good luck! Skj.

how do you think took them Damion>  I popped down the local "Leons r Us" and got me one of those litle gadgets.  Works a treat, I thoroughly recommend one.

Chops --- They were taken on a 6x6 SLR (Bronica as it goes) and no problem with asking at all.
