I am doing that job on my camera now with 3mm foam and I cut it to avout 7mm wide.
Not sure if it´s the correct thickness but we shall see  ;)
I`ll keep you posted with the results.

Unfamilar with 67 design in re to finder, but is foam the best option? I been using dark string in many cameras with better results and seems to wear better.

Pentax uses foam originally, that´s why I oped for it. Also super easy to cut and stick on when you get foam with glue on on side.
Bees bussy bussy doing nothing the last week but I shall get to it sometime during this week.

Well I've cured the rattle. I went with 2mm closed cell foam and it's a nice snug fit.

Sorry!!!!
Been to busy to get my 67 prisms fixed. Glad to hear the 2mm worked out well, hope my 3mm will be usable.

No drama Aksel, I'm just impatient!
I went for 2mm closed cell as I reckoned it was equivalent to 3mm open cell which I guess is what you're using? I find closed cell easier to work with, a bit more forgiving.

That´s a correct assumption, the foam I´m usingg is the soft open cell type typically used as light seals around the film door / mirror damper etc.
