Wherein 02Pilot and Limr go to Washington D.C.

(I had a momentary lapse and failed to honor the thread-naming convention I established for our travel threads. This has now been addressed.)
Limr and I were recently down in Washington for a few days, and obviously took a bunch of photos both in the city itself as well as the surrounding area, especially Alexandria, Virginia, where we stayed. Having gone through them I decided to post a few; I'll do so in two parts, beginning with some of the monuments for which the capital is perhaps best-known photographically, then on to a variety of other subjects in the second part.
For the record, I shot with my Mamiyaflex Automat A and my Leica IIIg, the latter primarily with the W.Acall 35/3.5, but also the Serenar 50/1.9 and Canon 100/3.5. Everything was shot on HP5+ and developed in Caffenol C-H(RS).

Lovely set. I particularly like the M C Escher-esque lines of the third one.

I too love the third one! Also the Washington monument is particularly dark and apocalyptic

Thanks all. As you've probably figured out, I was trying to get a different look than the typical tourist shots - Limr says that the Washington Monument shot reminds her of the Tower of Sauron (minus the all-seeing eye, obviously).

Thanks. #2 and #3 seem to be the popular ones of this batch. I'm not sure I would have guessed that; I suppose that's why it's so interesting to get other opinions.
I know Limr has developed most of her film from the trip, so I'll give her a chance to post some photos before I dump in my next batch.

Okay, a splash of color from me while my B&W is being scanned and edited. I had Ol' Faithful (the K1000) with me and a few lenses to play with.
First, my touristy shots:

OK, I lied. I said I would post these in two batches, but I'm going to do it in three. This second group deserves its own post, I think, because all the photos are thematically similar. The third (and final, I promise) collection will be somewhat more eclectic.

And now for my black and white. I was pushing some rolls of HP5 to 1600 and it probably could have used another 10 minutes or so in the soup (semi-stand) but instead, they came out kind of spooky, which also works for me
K1000 and I think these were all with the Vivitar 28mm f2.8.

OK, time for my final batch of photos from DC. This is sort of a catch-all post, with photos that didn't quite fit with the first two collections. Thanks for looking.

Thanks, guys. Full credit to my model, who was feeling quite silly at that moment.

The black and white sets are ace.
I've just picked up a bunch of HP5+, nice to see what it can do especially when pushed.
