Early Weekend Dec 17-20
« on: December 17, 2015, 04:17:32 PM »
Ok guys I'm doing it. I'm starting early! Mostly because I haven't been contributing very much recently I thought I'd post up a bunch of stuff from my backlog since then.

Sweet Tooth

Last of the Day

I ended up VFX supervising on set for a cop show promo shot in Montreal, so I shot a little back stage stuff.

Three different shots on my last roll of my beloved Ektachrome Slide Dupe. :'(  Scanned with auto settings. I was going to go back and harmonize the white balance, but then I thought the different colors made it sort of interesting.

Nice (early) start. I love those dunes, James.

Mine is from the photo essay I posted.

I like SLVR's Barber Shop and Kevin's bedroom.  I have three little mushrooms shot with a Rolleiflex Automat using a Rondo Close-Up Lens II.  Fujifilm Acros 100 developed in Caffenol C-H (rs).

Some grey-days-of-December shots on Tri-X in a 2x3 Graphic with a 90mm Angulon.

I like the Paris shots, especially the juxtaposition of the sculpture (Maillol?) and the tower.  I did a quick search for my barber shop pic but it looks like I haven't scanned it after all, so here's a boat getting dolled up instead.  Fujichrome from 1998, roughly.

I may be on the verge of having too much fun with my new-to-me 2x3 Graphic.  Today I mounted a 105mm Topcor in a Copal shutter and, more-or-less, got it right.  Here are two, using this lens, on Tri-X, developed in Xtol.

Wonderful photos from everyone. Jharr's dunes and Sandeha's dhow are my favourites this week.

Such a fine show from everybody with great varity.

I didn't tinker much with photography recently, but I'm still into color. The 4 months old working solution of the C-41 developer I mixed from raw chemicals is still working fine. I wanted to try some available light shots and pushed a Kodak VR400 (from the Kodak Gold family?) to 1600. 30 minutes at 22 °C and I like the results very much. The multi-segment measuring of the Minolta Dynax 5 is very reliable under these conditions. Lens: Minolta AF 1.7/50.

Using my newfound ability to post to this forum :D here's a shot from before Thanksgiving, finally developed last week, and finally finally posted here :) Olympus XA with redscaled Elitechrome 400 shot at ASA25.

Another amazing weekend everyone! Especially love the third shot from imagesfrugales, it makes me feel I`m there.

Upskirt shot of post-teen pine from me this time.
Think it obligatory to do one of those if you´r in possession of a Widelux? T-max, about 20 years out of date, stand dev. in 1:100 Rodinal and shitty scan.

Here's one from last week, which came out kind of weird looking. I'm thinking I had some bad fixer because a strange thing, it didn't have that fixer  smell to it.  The bottle was sitting for about  8 - 9 months  unopened  so I find it strange that it was bad, but then again it didn't have that smell to it.  I kind of like the way the picture came out.   Merry Christmas guys!

x100art,

I too like the picture but I don't think that you can credit the fixer for its success. Your impulse at the decisive moment and exposure details as well as developer quality and development technique had someting to do with the look of the image.  All this maybe over-thinking.  I just like the shot.
