what is a quick way to post image attachments
so that the file size remains below the 200k limit?

Nice stuff there!

I usually link it to my Ipernity site.  I forget how it works on flickr but I suspect it's the same process.  I find the bbcode, copy and paste to my FW reply and go.

In Flickr you will see the icons below to the lower right of your photo.  Click on the arrow and select BBCode in the pop-up window.  Choose the size then copy and past the link into your post.
