A piece by Sean O'Hagan from the Guardian website.

According to Mr O'Hagan, we're either purists or young obsessives... perhaps we should have a poll to further divide us..! ::)

I'm usually a fan of Guardian editorial but I find this article contains a lot of words but actually says nothing - aside from making sweepingly inaccurate comments about the demise of film.

Agreed that the "editorial" is a bit watery, but the Magnum contact sheets book mentioned therein is very much worth getting, if it's still available.
Any man who can see what he wants to get on film will usually find some way to get it;
and a man who thinks his equipment is going to see for him is not going to get much of anything.

It is, and it is (bought a copy for the GF's birthday in March, so I'm sure it's still around on Amazon...)
