new Cuba montages
« on: June 27, 2015, 02:10:17 AM »
Last year I went to Havana for a few days and did some panoramic montages with cross-processed Ektachrome 100 VS, shooting my Mamiya 6 with the 50mm f4.  I really liked Cuba, and liked the results of shooting like this so I went again.  Spent 10 days in Havana, Santa Clara, and Santiago de Cuba and just got back this week.  In the great long tradition of US-Cuban relations, I came, I saw, I wasted film.

Such a fantastic collection, and I love your collages. The rooftop with the girls is charming and makes such a good panorama, but the street scenes really grab me, and that interior car shot is awesome.

Hats off, Sir Peter! Every single "collage" is worth to be exhibited in the most famous museums. The schoolgirls are indeed very pretty and the time-warp of the trike and the cart is nothing less than spectacular. The more sublime proud boys, the playing children, it's impossible to to pick a fav. Thank you so much for showing and the incredible inspiration. Standing ovation!

Exactly what Reinhold said!
This should be in museums!
It's fabulous!!!! I love the color!

They all work so well together.  It's one of, if not the best set of images I have ever seen.

Yes, Standing ovation!
 :)

The shot of the chess players is simply wonderful.

Oh wow! What a great set. I would imagine the Cuban tourist board would love to display these, they show the place as is and it's so inviting.

I got rid of the two weakest pics from the set. I feel better now.  (It's sometimes hard to let go but it's usually for the best.)

LensCulture has it now featured on their Documentary page (is it documentary...?)

https://www.lensculture.com/explore?category_id=8

but their page layout wastes so much screen real estate, it's a shame
