Topic: About the board's PM functions

this will sound like a silly question but it is serious
I am not a total novice to using PM's I have used them on other discussion forums
on FW I am not able to see my sent messages for some reason
I know that I need to go to the Message tab and it gives me the option of looking at both my inbox and sent messages
but when I look for sent messages I see nothing
I have communicated successfully (i.e. they responded) with two members on this board
but my sent message folder doesn't show the messages which I have sent
am I crazy?

obviously it is desirable to see your Sent PM's to confirm what you actually sent and also to make sure the message was delivered

the other frustration with the PM function, is that unlike other PM's on other boards I don't seem to regularly (just sometimes) get emails telling me
that I have received a PM in my inbox. Is there a problem with that also.

I believe you need to opt-in via a checkbox to retain a copy of a PM in your sent folder.

Don't worry about it, for some reason that feature never works... it didn't even work when the site was started!

It does work, but you have to check the box that says, 'save a copy in my outbox' before you send the message. You need to do this for each message you send in order for it to be saved in your sent items folder.

 the issue re notification emails ... I don't know.  We've never had any concerns raised befor, and I always seem to get notification emails.
