Thanks again everyone. I suspect it is a combination of lens, film, decent processing, good latitude exploitation (metering correctly), and scanning combined. My scanner is a Japan market Epson GT-9400, which is essentially similar to non-JDM machines, and the conventional Epson scanner package in pro-mode. Sometimes I get this luminosity that can only come from film, and it is one of the reasons why I continue to shoot the stuff. But, if you're here, you already know that!
