Topic: One Subject, One Roll - The Red Bridge

Hello,

I decided yesterday to have a go at the one subject, one roll excercise. My subject was the "Red Bridge".

The bridge was built in 1789/90 and is located in an English landscape garden (in Britain you would just call it a garden) nearby. The park was built as leasure garden by the Archbishop Friedrich Karl Joseph von Erthal. The Bishop lost most of his power only a few years later after the French Revolution and the Napoleonic war, but still resided in the castle of Aschaffenburg, where this garden is located. Today still a school and a street and a shoe polish are named after the Bishop.

It is an interesting challange. Normally I only take one or two pictures of a subject and then move to the next. Trying to find different views to fill a complete roll is not so easy (at least to me).

Love the photos and I must say that I think the Sphinx is also my favourite of all of them.

Incidentally, when I suggested the "One Roll, One Subject" idea, I though it would be more of the sort of challenge that Frank mentioned - i.e. difficult to get 6 keepers from one roll.  I hadn't thought that those entering might have difficulty actually filling a roll as they might tend to shoot only two or three photos of a subject and move on.
