Inbetween submitting myself to the yoke of DIY this weekend I was able to squeeze in my serious attempts at using POP on some digitally enlarged negs. 'Serious' in this instance would actually best be described at 'haphazard', but I just wanted to prove the concept before I got all precious about producing amazing prints...and anyway, I'm all about the grungy look

Anyway, I'm hooked. I read all of the process/science stuff about chemicals, correction curves, which type of transparency film to use etc.....and then promptly ignored it all. I'll get round to setting up a proper process at some point, but I'm happy that - for now - the 'busk it' POP process allows someone like me (definition: no time and no darkroom) to produce proper prints and channel the Old School.
For your delectation: wwo different prints of her indoors. Originally 35mm negs shot on a Pentax P30T back in December 2004. I have another POP print that I've submitted to the 'Instant' collaboration. The scratches on the prints are as a result of me using not enough fixer and scraping the paper on the bottom of the plastic bowl during the fixing process.
Thanks to Damion for mixing the fixer for me last month. It's been in my shed ever since and I've been fishing flies and wasps out of it on a daily basis.
