Finding old pics in your shoebox
« on: October 12, 2014, 04:13:32 PM »
Well, not really a shoebox. More like a computer. But anyway, letting a few years go by after taking pics sometimes allows you to be ready to like them when you didn't in the past.  I went looking for this first pic because I recently saw a pic of an old airplane converted into a restaurant or something, and I thought to myself, I have one of those!  Anyway, pics from Eritrea from a few years ago.

Great photos!
The staircase is one to print and put on the wall. Also like night shot!

I recently found a box of photos I had taken as a kid (probably pre-school age). Most of them are blurry images of plastic dinosaurs fighting each other.  ;)

Nice! So these were all outtakes? I don't recognize them. But they all deserve to be "in" takes!

Thanks!

It's a lesson to look back at old forgotten stuff -- a corollary to we're our own worst editors

It's a photographer's studio in Asmara.  There are so many small photographer shops.  People don't have smartphones or cameras or computers, so they rely on small commercial photographers.  Most seem to be family, engagement and wedding, graduation, sports teams (and bicycle racers), proms, and teenagers dressed up looking cool.
