Hi,

now that the camera from the camera chain has gone full circle I thought we can post some results. To be honest, I had a few problems to keep the camera still while pressing the shutter, so many of my pictures tended to be a bit on the abstract side (cough).

Here are two pictures I quite like:

Nice! Really love that first one.

Here are the ones I liked from my roll of Pan F. It was an old camera so I figured I'd go take pictures of "old" New York. In retrospect, I would have put higher speed film in it, but meh, whatevs - ya live, ya learn

Holding the thing steady was clearly an issue for me as well, though I did manage to do so at times; awkward doesn't begin to describe that camera. I even tried using a cable release for some shots, but that didn't help at all - it might have even made it worse. Anyway, here's a few on my roll of FP4+ developed in Caffenol-C-M (RS).

Loving the photos here. Thanks to everyone for keeping the circumnavigation going!
Just to show that this lens is color-capable...

In bright sun. There do seem to be some internal reflections evident in the photos taken in full sun, mostly visible in mine and Diane's and Lenore's. It's kind of cool "forensic evidence" that this camera indeed traveled the globe.

I had trouble holding it steady also plus it was a bloody cold week in Cornwall when I used it. I used FP4 but the Ektar 100 seemed to prform better

Jharr...see, this is what happens when a trained 'eye' looks at the images...I rarely pay any attention to those light reflection thingies...just adds to the atmosphere! Thanks Jim for pointing this out! I do appreciate a trained eye!:-)

Fantastic shots everyone!
Its great to see such a variety of pictures taken with the same camera. I never noticed the light reflection, but now you mention it, it is very obvious.

Gary is quite correct it is Lanyon Quoit. I also went to Men-an tol (http://www.megalithic.co.uk/article.php?sid=111) and Chun Quoit (http://www.historic-cornwall.org.uk/a2m/neolithic/chambered_tomb/chun_quoit/chun_quoit.htm) which are both quite local but the shots aren't up to much, so I'll try again next time I'm down there.

Men-an-tol is easy eother, composition is a bitch but if you get it right ( I didn't

!) it'll be quite satisfying. I'm thinking pinhole next time.

Ok, that selfie finally gives me a little clue as to what the camera is. But I'm not quite good enough to ID it from that shot, so can someone help me out?

Does anybody know Verian personally? After mailing the camera back to him long ago, it arrived back on my doorstep a couple of weeks ago. From overseas! The notification from the Royal Mail states that it was returned because it was "not called for" which I assume means it was never picked up at the post office. I sent Verian a private message, but have not heard back from him. I'm hesitant to send the camera again since it was returned and I've already spent more on overseas shipping than the camera is probably worth. I feel bad that it hasn't gotten to him but I'm not sure what to do at this stage.

Personally I'd just hold on to the camera.
Verian hasn't been on the site at all since last July (I checked his stats)... and he hasn't really been active since last January.
He was supposed to take care of the layout of the magazine and we all know what happened to this.
I really don't know what happened to him. All I know is that his life was sort of put in the washing machine on spin for a while.

I think it's wise to just hold on to the camera and PM him from time to time to ask what to do about it. If he hasn't answered in six months, I think you could consider the camera to be yours in exchange for the wasted postage (that is unless other people have something to say about it).
