Earlier in the year a friend had given me two gift tokens for the
Bluebell Railway, which i'd not been on since they opened the line to East Grinstead. So last Friday the 15th I figured I'd take a day off, load up and go down there.
For several years now I've had the Voigtlander 15mm Aspherical Super-Wide Heliar lens for my Bessa R3a, but never used it all that much as I've never really got the hang of it. So i decided to use that as much as possible. Sometimes it's hard to be close enough, and I think one thing I need to keep in mind with this lens is to have something strong in the foreground. These were taken on Lucky SHD100.

I'd also taken my old Minolta Hi-Matic F loaded with a roll of the Agfaphoto Vista Plus film from Poundland. It's not bad film for a quid, but I always find it has a kind of old-fashioned 'look' to it, and taking pictures of old stuff just adds to that.

What decade is this again?
Last but not least, I also took along the old Kodak No.2 Brownie, and while I was taking one shot a passerby said "Now there's a real camera!" and seemed quite enthused I was using it.
I was shooting my last roll of TMAX100 which was nearly a year out of date as I'd not shot much medium format this year, and when I hung the negs up to dry I figured this image would be a failure as it was badly underexposed.
