Vue Scan help...
« on: July 21, 2007, 02:15:38 PM »
Hello,    ive just made the swicth from Silverfast to Vue Scan, id heard people saw they preferred it to Silverfast, found it less clunkly and overall  afar better programme.

I think i have to disagree!   ..although basically im not 100% im using it correctly, I heard you could get it to make multiple passes but I just cant work out how to do this????  anybody?

in saying that, attached is a scan that im quiet happy with though,

yours contradictorily,
damion

Hi Damion!

When you select Scan transparency, in more options mode, on the first tab, there is a checkbox at the bottom called "Long Exposure Pass". This is probably what you're looking for. It is useful only when you have a negative you can't get any details out because it is too dense.
It won't be available in flatbed mode, only transparency.

From the Input tab you need to select Advanced Options and dependent on scanner (i.e. whether it supports multiple passes) select either Number of Samples or Number of Passes. More information from the online manual at:
