Boy are you early this morning...

Here are a few I got this week. I got a chance to play with my lens reversing ring, so there are some close-ups.

Over 30 years ago my grandmother gave me my uncles Kodak Duaflex II.  My uncle past away in 1968 so I was too young to get to know him.  The camera has sat on a shelf the whole time and is at least partially responsible for my camera collecting.  Last weekend was my fathers 75th birthday so I decided to re-spool some 120 Kodak TMX 100 onto a 620 reel.  These are a few pictures I took on the ferry ride to my brothers house were he was hosting the birthday party.  I spent the evening blinding my family with old flash bulbs.  The Film was Semi-Stand developed in Adonal (Rodinal) 1-100 for 1 hour.

By the way Francois great close-ups but what is that critter in the second photo?

It's an alien that's come to earth to eat our brains ;)
Just kidding...
It's actually a giant water bug. They're probably in the large size critters category. This one makes a whopping 6cm long, that's over 2 inches!
They actually prey on small amphibians and fish that are much bigger than they are.

This one was found in my car's engine compartment... I didn't know my mechanic was scared silly of big insects  ::)
He actually told me he wouldn't touch my car if I didn't first remove the bug... I've been keeping it in a plastic box ever since.
I must admit that just looking at it, it freaks me out a bit.

Great start gang. I have been slack lately (I will blame change in seasons) but it is nice to at least look!
Miller, I like the forest shot. BAC it is awesome to see shots on a beastie that goes so fat back in your life and cool to hear that family photos were recently shot on it. You have inspired me to bring my mom's Brownie SIX-20 to the next family gig.

Thanks, David. His name is Max.  :)  Nice shot! I've got Mamiya 645 S and I love the camera,
although I'm not using it much lately.  GAS is to blame - must test so many cameras.   :-[

Diane's pinhole is magical and I love the dog portrait. Hatfield forest also looks great (like the fingerprints).

Some really classy stuff on here this weekend - but my faves are from RobClarke, Astrobeck, Diane and Miller.

A few from me taken in Munich last week. Bessa R4M + CV 21mm/f4 and 35mm/f1.2 on Ilford XP2 Super.

Oh my. I was at local the photography trade fare today. It is quite a big fare for (mostly used) cameras and darkroom equipment twice a year. I got a little kodak Brownie and a Polaroid back for the RZ67. I haven't shot any instant film in at least 20 years, but now after the first 5 sheets of FP100 I'm a bit afraid this stuff could be highly addictive.

Friends of mine have begun hosting a series of artist print swaps at their studio, last night was also one friends birthday so they had some entertainment as well, including this young lady who who did a great burlesque dance, part of which was in the oversized champagne glass in the background. Great fun and a terrific way to get your prints out there while acquiring some cool artwork for yourself. Polaroid on FP-3000b.
