Filmwasters Spring 2014 Walkabout - LOCATIONS
« on: April 02, 2014, 01:23:10 PM »
Dates suggested are weekend of 26/27 April to avoid the Easter traffic shenanigans.

See sparate thread (pinned up) for date of walkabout.  Bank Holiday weekends and date of Photographica highlighted for those wishing to avoid.

Paul thanks for doing this.

You've set the vote close date for the same date as the planned meet up though. Was that what you intended?

Either way I have pinned it up so it doesn't get missed.

In retrospect, probably best to amend it so that voting closes a week / 10 days beforehand.  Is it possible to alter the closing date?

I voted, but I think I'll be in Cornwall. Even less help than Dave.

I'll be in Riyadh that weekend - possibly the least photography friendly place in the world :(

I'm therefore forced to abstain - from the voting let alone beer  :'(

I've decided there is a rule which says whenever these events are planned I'm due to be doing something else - which is really annoying, I was looking forward to it!  :(

From the messages left, it seems like many of us are unavailable for the proposed date of 26/27 April.  Therefore, I've had a quick word with Leon and in the true FW spirit of trying to be as inclusive and democratic as possible, I'm going to post another poll to see if other dates suit people better.  The venues don't seem to be causing anyone any concern, so I'll leave those as they are.  Hopefully, a revised date will mean more can attend....

New Poll for alternative dates has been pinned at the head of the Main Forum.  Please feel free to suggest an alternative date.  I've highlighted the Bank Holiday weekends and the date of the Photographica fair in London.
