Reliable repairs
« on: March 02, 2014, 03:18:44 PM »
Right after wasting 3 rolls of HP5+ on my Koni Omega rapid and developing the film I have realised that the leaf shutters are not opening I realised that I'm need of a repair shop. So obviously I need recommendations for a repair. Which would be best a quick look on Google and there's aperture or seandean not to far from me which I could take it to or I'm not adverse to sending it to someone else who is maybe a specialist. UK would be best as it weighs 3kgs and I know the Post Office aren't adverse to playing rugby with parcels. So over to you guys please inform me.

Hi Irv.

My starting point would be the repair guy at Aperture's shop on Rathbone Place, just off the north side of Oxford Street. I can't guarantee he will be able to help but he's been fixing cameras and lenses since Adam was a lad and, if I needed something mechanical fixing, I'd trust him with it.

Many thanks Paul
I will no doubt be in town sometime this week, so I dive in there and let them have a look.

Sendean serviced two Mamiya RZ67 lenses for me about three years ago, which I sent by post, and I had no problems.
