The fourth weekend thread of June
« on: June 21, 2013, 12:50:04 PM »
It's Friday already, and no false starters yet?

These are from a 5 years over expiry date Fuji Pro400H, shot two years ago, processed a week ago, and scanned 5 days ago.

Not shot this film before, but knew I should expect nice pastels in fair to good daylight, and that would seem to be no understatement

A couple more innocent shots from the Cardiff Bike Ride, including the ad hoc audience.

I'm addicted to E6. More chromes. Most of you know what this was likely shot with. Also my 50mm summicron is out getting the front element repolished and recoated. Cant wait to get it back and get some nice wide open shots minus the haze!

Eirik, what a great start to the thread.  The second is sublime - looks like a wonderful place.

From last weekend's walk on the North Norfolk coast.

Great work as usual.  Three from me.  Taken in the village of Becal in the Yucatan peninsula in  Mexico.  Becal is famous for manufacturing hats.  I didn't buy one.

In some thread or another, I mentioned my troubles "connecting" with my Mamiya 645 Pro TL. I decided she'd been neglected long enough so I took her for a spin. I'm still working out her quirks, but I think we're starting to get along a bit better now.

Here's one from the first roll of Ektar 100 through my $30 Rolleiflex.

Hello,
I just joined recently (first post)  :) I just want to say hello this way. Here are 2 shots I took last weekend.
The weather was great so I took a short trip to a nearby water castle (Mespelbrunn in Germany). The camera I used was a Zeiss Ikon ZM, the film is Adox CMS 20.

On the way back I still had a bit of film left, so I took a few shots of a house close to my home, designed by Hundertwasser.

Have a nice weekend everyone!
I enjoy seeing all your photos.

Welcome to Filmwasters Manuel! And I can see that you don't live that far away from me, all things considered. Still more than three hours, though (I live close to Munich).

I mainly use my Mamiya 645 in the garden, with the 80mm macro and some e-6 loaded.

This is what I get - ok for handheld and AE.

What I'm working on today

Click the link for more.

I've been modifying an Isolette 1 into a pinhole. Here's a couple of the first results. The vignetting wasn't planned. More work required...

Why change it? I rather like vignetting in pinhole images. In fact my 4x5 DIY pinhole doesn´t vignette at all, a fact I am rather unhappy with. I am considering shortening the focal length or widening the pinhole in order to get some gamma fall off.

I don't mind some fall-off in the corners but this hard cut-off isn't to my liking.

It's really down to where you place the pinhole disk, Peter.   With the shutter mounted flush to the closed front door, I placed the disk into the lens holder of the middle element.  That meant I could screw the disk in with the retaining ring and just screw the holder back into its normal position.  From the open back I can see the pinhole light from each corner.  The Isolette and the Record are both perfect for this.

Yes, realise that Sandeha. Just that I never checked. Already moved it to the middle element position.

Went on a film developing rampage today. Did 3 rolls, 2 35mm and 1 120 I had sitting in my desk for a few weeks. All good, one happy mistake.
