i believe they stopped making the 45, im not sure what the difference is though?

TinTin, the difference is size. And yes, size DOES make a difference  ;) It's all very confusing...but welcome to the Polaroid naming legacy! The Fujifilm FP-100C45 is a bigger sized film, for large format (LF) cameras which take 4x5 film. Land Cameras take what's commonly known as 100 series film (because that's what Polaroid started off using back in the day - e.g. Type 108 film). 100 series film is smaller than the LF 4x5 film.

Polaroid and Fujifilm handled the size distinction differently. The LF Polaroid films were called Type 5x films (e.g. Type 55, Type 51) whereas Fujifilm have kept the name very similar across their range, but added a '45' where appropriate to distinguish the larger sized film.

Of course, just to confuse things, Polaroid later switched the naming convention of some of their 100 series films (i.e. compatible with your 420 Land Cam) from 1XX to 6XX. Ergo, the smaller sized Type 55 equivalent film is called 665, but 125i is still called 125i (or it was until they stopped making it).

It's confusing, but personally I love it. It satisfies my geek leanings, without forcing me to learn all of the proper geek stuff that people like Francois and Leon know.
