i dont get it. what is capison?
Simple: lets look at the semantics and phonetics of the word!

cap-is-on, pronounced just like that. Cap comes from the word cap. Is comes from the verb to be. On is the opposite of off. :)

Actually, it took me a few seconds to figure it out until I noticed the clue in the image...

This has been a fun thread to read!
It just proves once again that we humans are primo at making things more complicated than they should be at times.

I think since I first began shooting I've always held the cap with my teeth while I shoot. If it's a long amble I'll stuff it in a pocket, but often I see something, I grab the camera, cap in teeth, click, replace the cap, move on.

I've never lost a cap, even the notorious Diana Mini cap (though I did replace the Great Wall cap -- it'll fall off if the dog sneezes), but I have to admit I have spent some time looking for my Rollei 35S cap after shooting, as I can't see it below my nose. :D

I just love the look on his face when he's chimpin :)
And somehow he can't figure out why he's shooting only dark lifeless moody pictures  ;D

Funny indeed..
Well, lucky for me I don't use lens caps. Well, I do, only the first time that I have new camera/lens, after that the awful lot decides to hide somewhere or run away  with other similar photographic paraphernalia..
Website of sorts, as well as ipernity thing.
