Ricoh GR1 flashing frame number

Hello,

My GR1 is flashing its frame number in the lcd and doesn't seem to be doing anything else.

The lens comes out but that's all.

Can't find anything on the web.  Can anyone help?

Changed the battery but nothing has changed.

If it's flashing a zero, the film isn't loaded correctly. Any other number and I'd guess the film is jammed.
