gorgeous lens but i honestly dont know where youd end up ever using it. Except maybe to do 360 panos for some GI passes and such in 3d?

Really neat video nontheless.

The lens was actually made for scientific and industrial use. But when it first came out in the 1960's, it was adopted by advertising and fashion photographers. The lens was not always made using the same optical formula. The first versions had a lens that stuck inside the camera. It required a camera that has mirror lock-up to be used. It also came with a special viewfinder for composing the shot.

looks pretty cool. Kowa made a 19mm fisheye, the only complete medium format fisheye I guess...the entire image appeared in the shot.

and he is going to waste that $150K lens on a digital slr? boo.

^ that 19mm looks crazy!

idk who would pay such an insane amount for a lens.. its not like its something that can be used often and i dont find it appealing as a collectors item to be honest (to each his own).

I'm a long-term Nikonian.......but not even if I won the Lottery would I spend that amount of money on such a novelty item.

Really is. Too bad they never made one at a cheaper price. I'm sure there would have been customers for it.

For around 20 quid you could have one of these

Much more fun!  And you can spend the other £98,980 on an Aston Martin.
