How to build a KAMRA-E-FAOREE
« on: February 23, 2012, 10:19:05 PM »
I don't know if everyone here knows about the Cuban Polaroid?
Well, this is a slightly different version of it called the Afghan Box Camera.
The camera is used by street photographers to make B&W prints on the spot.
The process involves shooting on paper, developing and re-photographing the paper to make a positive image.

If anyone wants to try their hand at making one, the afghanboxcamera.com website has a set of instructions.

Here's the link http://www.afghanboxcamera.com/abcp_camera_howtobuild.htm

So, get your hammers and duct tape out :)

What I like about these things is that once you have the basic box built, you can decorate it as you like. While they're working tools, they have a very folk art side to them which lends itself perfectly to all kinds of extravagant designs...
