tucamcari is one of those places on my list...but it's far enough away that it will require an actual vacation. i settled for northern arizona yesterday! big snowstorm up there today, so good timing.

I must admit, Becky's first one is definitely classic Americana!
And since I'm still a big fan of classic neon light (and always will be), this is a winner for me :)

The Occupy Belfast protest isn't on the same scale as other protests, but at least they are trying. Shot on HP5+ with a Holga 120.

A lot of good stuff already.  Sean's polas - terrific - chocolate always hits the spot for me.  Phil's 'grotto' is great too.

Been burning alot of film through the Holga lately....I've had this urge to just shoot and not worry about anything and the Holga is the perfect tool for that  ;)

All shot on Tri-X in the small town of Reidsville NY

Terrific pics, everybody!  Becky, your "neon" with the classic car is outstanding.

I spent a recent weekend shooting portraits of the newest additions to my collection, excepting the Argus C-3, which was to document the "new" 100mm lens.

amazing pictures like every week.

I really like astrobeck, diane, patrick, sean, stevesegz this week - especially those pinholes and the route 66 ones, lovely.

I've been trying to build cameras this month, so there is a polaroid test shot and a (sorry digital from my phone, will remove if need be!) shot of my completed three conversions. Great fun.

cheers all

First time in the darkroom since May and it certainly feels a lot longer than six months!  Only a miserly seven films exposed during that time due to various illnesses and operations but it feels good to be back in there sniffing that fixer!  Here's some of those that I've managed to print during the last few evenings after work and during a day of industrial action on Wednesday.

And here's another couple.  Not sure about the table of veg as an image, looks a bit busy, but as a whole new genre - 'Street Still Life', surely its got to have some value?

Great Holga WPC stuff stevesegz.

Last weekend was Thanksgiving here in the US. I spent Friday onward with some friends at Lake Tahoe. No snow but lots of good things to eat. Here are a few shots taken while preparing breakfast.

I swear half my aesthetic sense come from looking at so much work from American photographers (and travellers (Phil)).
good one becks :)

Lots I like, specially Sean's (as always) and Graham's first one...looks like it's back in the 60's.

Haven't been taking anything much but actually finished a roll yesterday.

Becky, I have to join the praise for that first shot it's a real winner and I love Phil's Grotto. Lots of great stuff all round.

I went out on Friday with my Land Camera and some FP3000. I have to admit to something of a schoolboy error. I remembered hearing that i could shoot and peel later. Well I obviously left it too long, so the chems had gone a bit sticky on the print. However I have discovered that I like the scanned neg even more than the print these days - two shown below for comparison.

Can anyone advise what the cut off time is for storing the unpeeled shots in your bag?  ???

Hi Leon, no it wasn't open, but thanks for the suggestion it's a great walk. I understand why they've done it but that fence is SO imposing you really can't ignore it. Standing there it did make me think whether it's any less offensive than the graffiti.

Gosh, i'm with you on the fence Nigel, horrendous!

This is how I remember it.  It looked like something out of a dystopian apocalyptic future film with at least 10-20 abandoned cars littering the place.

We used to go up there at night after the pubs had closed and scare ourselves.  It was a really spooky place.  The main floor had collapsed, so the only place you could go inside was in the crypt where the body slabs were.  I still shiver thinking about it.

I can see that's also not ideal! ;-)

It's certainly a lot 'cleaner' now and a little less scary, however it was very sunny when I was there.

Great work by all!! My standouts are Beckys motel, Phils wonderful angles, Sandehas snowman, Seans Polas, Leons beach scenes, Mickld tents with the bust, Dianes color, Steves panos, Daves family shots and Vicky's pastel beauties.

Here is mine. Ektar shot with my Nikon.

Do like I do: I keep an old empty film loader on which I glued some heavy cardboard to the window. When I shoot them, I just put them back in the box. I did that for my Instax at first but it also works on any film that comes in a pack of some sort.

it depends on the kind of film. bw has to be peeled fairly soon. like within 10 minutes or it sticks together. but it dries very quickly. 669 and id-uv can be peeled hours later.

Great weekend thread again. I've had a busy weekend work but found time to upload a few that Andrea scanned for me in the week. Snow outside, this one was taken in the summer sunshine, far away from Stornoway - Panf+ and hasselblad

Bought a cheap Ikonta B a while ago becasue the Nettar and Isolette II didn't have a rangefinder, then clicked that I tend to shoot on Inf anyway, Doh !

Two taken near Detling off of the A249, have others sitting in the Tenax on very expired Delta 400 too.

Just got back from Sri Lanka and had a couple of rolls of film processed. Holiday was pretty crap (won't bore you all with the details but too much driving on the tour - usually past something really interesting en route to something pretty tedious - "World of Buddha", "Buddha R Us", some bloody tourist tat factory; that sort of thing.....)

Anyway, here's a few of the early batch. Ricoh GR1s / Fuji Professional 400CN:
