« on: September 12, 2011, 10:23:40 AM »
Hello

My name is Damian I am old watcher but new filmwasters member. I am amateur photographer with big passion to building my own cameras. i want to show my newest build red wood 4x5 inch camera. Camera is build with read wood no stain , paint etc. and finish with traditional chinese style ( hot wax ). I build everything myself including making plate holders and ground glass.

Camera is versatile may take traditional 4x5 film holder and plate holders which i build. Samples taken on film and collodion. Film samples taken on Shanghai 100 film pushed to 400 , develop in R09. Later they were contact printed with 25watt white light bulb ( 2 sec exposure , 1 meter ) on ilford Multigrade paper - woman with moustache , and fomabrom fb paper - first picture.

best regards to all filmwasters

Damian

Hi Damian

wonderful looking camera and pictures.

Whilst undoubtedly we are all keen to hear how you get along with your camera in development etc, and please let us know how this progresses, we are keen for all members to stick to our non-commercial postings only rule.  If you haven't already, please take the time to take a look at the "housekeeping" board - especially this thread: http://www.filmwasters.com/forum/index.php?topic=70.0

I'm looking forward to seeing more pictures taken with your camera.

Hi Damian,

I've looked through some of your sites, and your work, both in shooting and in constructing cameras, is great! You and Brana have some really crazy things going on :D
