Topic: The Wilderness - update

So a few days ago I decided that starting a project would be apt. But as always the subject matter can be tricky and varied. So as I happen to live in semi-rural Iceland I thought doing a project on the wilderness would be a good starting point. This thread is mainly to get some feedback and maybe good suggestions for projects and substance  So off I go, I have no idea how many there will be (photographs) but i've got a few different pics to share with you today. It has no special category other than BW, feedback would be nice.

Really nice stuff and a nice broad subject matter for a project :-)

it is one of my greatest ambitions to visit iceland and ride my bike around the country with a few cameras in tow and alot of film. hope one day it comes true and I can embark on a similar project :-P

I've often wondered what Iceland would be like to visit. Lately, I've seen a few programmes either about Iceland or where Iceland has featured and I'm seriously thinking about making Iceland next year's holiday destination (haven't told my missus, yet, though.....)

Wilderness is something we are woefully short of in the UK - and in particular the part of the UK in which I live and work.

Lovely concept and really nice images to start with. Keep it going and let's see where it takes you.

I would also love to trek around Iceland, and it's been on my list for some time.

I really like the first photo but would also like to see a wider view of it to get some context of the surrounding homes and scenery.

You've got a nice start so I'm eager to see this one evolve and unfold!

Iceland - from what I've seen, it is as close to Heaven as an atheist can get You are lucky to live there, and you've made 3 great pictures of your Iceland - which is as good as it gets.  Great stuff.

I've been to Reykjavick back few years ago and it's an amazing place indeed. I remember going somewhere at night with a group on a tour guide to see the northern lights. I tried getting some pictures but I just couldn't... I couldn't feel my hands at all!

Small update: So its been coming along pretty nicely. got a few handfulls of (though I say so myself) good stuff. The arrival of my Nikon F3 has only spurred me into wasting all my film on a good cause. The problem with having such a wide subject matter (wilderness as a whole) opened my eyes to a number of untold stories.

By far the most interesting one is a stretch of road etched into a mountain that runs 25km among cliffs and shore made by one man that im hoping to do an essay on and bring you nice folks. I took a drive on it and shot 8 rolls of hazardous cliffs, 14 million year old stratas, multiple abandoned farms, mountain sheeps scaling walls and bad road conditions.

For now this has to satisfy. I might make a new thread for the road story.
