"Our seventh video podcast features an extended report from a little insider event in London called, Photographica 2011. Loads of us went along and we had a fantastic time. Before that though the podcast covers Ed's visit to the London Street Photography exhibition at the Museum of London, a nail-biting finish for the Filmwasters Pub Quiz team & a seaside 'photo walk' with Woody the Dog & Leon the Human. Boo ya!

yeah i forgot to say I went to the same street photography exhibition and really enjoyed it. old wolfgang's stuff stood out a lil bit for me. it was an awesome exhibition, right up my street ;-) . made me curl my toes wishing I had brought my Rolleicord with me though.

decided to make a playlist of as much of the music off the podcast I could find on spotify (some may be cover versions as the original was not on there) thought I would share it.

Hey Thom...that's a great idea. Thanks for that. And BTW, I meant to call you about this, but I'd like to take the opportunity to thank you publicly for being such a good sport w/ regard to all of the Impossible Project ribbing you got from me. I owe you a drink or two. Thanks for appreciating that I don't really mean it and top marks for sticking to your guns and bringing some TIP film along on the day.

And, to everyone else....it's not just about the bl**dy dog, OK? It's about the revolutionary editing techniques, the insights into photography that no-one else has had, the carefully planned camera angles, the realisation of a concept arrived at through years of deep thinking and the very expensive equipment we use to produce these shows. Throw a cute dog onto the screen and all of the above gets forgotten. It's not even Leon's real dog. "Woody" is a CGI creation. Leon's actual dog is too unsightly for public viewing and usually goes around dressed like this:

Well, I managed to steal a lengthy editing session from my employers last week, but yeah, it's been more difficult than normal to get this one out there.

Funniest podcast ever! And subsequent posts about ugly dogs very funny too!! And I have to say, Leon's playful pooch stole the show for me. Especially since he was so excited when they got there and didnt even bother to look over the seat when they were leaving because he was so tired from playing. Awesome! But I also loved seeing all the Filmwaster faces and really enjoyed seeing the second vid from another Photographica.

Thom - great idea about the playlist. You've missed the black keys track "act nice and gentle" off tho - it's on spotify.

I'll have a good listen to that when I'm studying tomorrow.

another great video~ I'm kind of missing the podcasts though. easier to load up an mp3 and listen on the go, haha maybe I live a stressfull life? probably not

Actually, I had a better idea last night before falling to sleep!
After seeing him run on the video, I was wondering if you ever thought of enrolling him as a seeing-eye dog for the blind? I just thought it would be kinda funny (in a non politically correct way) to see a blind guy trying to keep up in a very Benny Hill way

Hey Jonas, you're 100% right. As a podcast 'consumer' I'm an avid fan of the audio and less so of the video & for exactly the same reason as you. It's hard to find the time to watch 15-25 mins of video, but ironically it seems easier to listen to 60+ mins of audio.

The thing is; it's harder doing the audio podcasts because we have to set up Skype and then arrange a time which is good for all participants - some of whom are calling in from different timezones. Not to mention the editing...again, it's been a big surprise that editing the videos is quicker than the audio.

The weird thing is that - with a couple of exceptions - most of the video podcasts have 'outsold' the audio podcasts in terms on downloads, so clearly most of the FW audience is happy with the video format. Which is another surprise to me.

How many surprises can one man take?

Anyway, it has recently occurred to me that we could do the audio podcasts in a magazine style (like the videos) rather than always having to have a panel discussion. That might help with some of the logistics. Stay tuned & thanks very much for the feedback.

I can actually understand this and it was something that I thought about when posting. I guess it's easier to edit when you have the visual feed and you can speed things up.
And I like that quality has gotten better with the videos! kudos to that

Though if I download a podcast one time (or twice with the work computer), I listen to them a whole lot more(!) I think I've listened to episode 13 to 15 more than I can count now! Most 15 because I relly like the discussion but I think that 13 is catching up as I've got it on my cellphone and listen to it when I go to sleep sometimes. That Jobo sneeze always gets me chuckling

Ah yes. Booze. Much of this was edited whilst tipsy, so maybe it won't work for you quite as well when you sober up
