Do people really think 35mm film doesnt exist any more? They still sell at convenience stores and usually at the check out line. Its hard to miss.

Sadly not anymore around here...
How do you think I managed to fill my freezer up to the top with boxes of 35mm?
The grocery stores were selling it off at less than their cost.
One of the best deals I got was packs of 3 rolls of Gold 200 for 1$... and it wasn't even expired yet!

That's a good deal Francois, but a very scary thing to see all the same. What's been happening with me is that when I take my film in to get it developed at either Walmart or Target, the first one I pick has a busted machine and cant develop my film. ALWAYS! And Target hasnt been able to do prints (not that I use their printing services) for months now. They just cant be bothered to fix it I guess. And they did a hopping business with prints. Scary, scary, scary.

The place I used to love getting my prints done at (photolab.com) decided to drop all film based photography. I used to like dropping my film for one hour processing, talk to the girls at the counter. Then they decided to close it down and send everything out by Purolator instead of changing the equipment for a low volume processing machine. It was supposed to be 48 hour processing... but often Purolator would loose the big Tupperware container in a bag for over a month! So, I found a competing lab that accepted to honor the processing included film I send them... but it takes 48 hour to get it back. I still have 2 rolls to send out through them and will probably switch again since Walmart is cheaper... but not nicer. The lady at the counter is about as nice as an old KGB interrogator... and their paper sleeves don't fit in my boxes so I have to save up envelopes from other places just to get ready for the switch...
