Large Format Film Scanning Service
« on: March 03, 2011, 06:33:27 PM »
Can anyone in the UK recommend a large format scanning service? I'm thinking it would encourage me to take more and I can't afford the initial outlay on my own scanner. The local darkroom has a 5x4 enlarger but it's in pieces. TQ.

I know www.metroimaging.co.uk do but can be very expensive...

I normaly encourage people saving as much as they can in order to buy the Epson V700 which in my opinion is perfect for the job (unless you're looking for ultra resolution!).

If you have a scanner already, you can scan your neg in two parts and then stitch the files with photoshop. Yes... it's a pain ( I did that a lot !) but think about the money you're saving for each neg... ;)

Carl, I like their strapline

And it's relatively local to Kirkcaldy! thanks

From friend Alex Boyd uses them a great deal and they do most of his printing -  I can certainly attest to the printing.
