Video Embedding Now Available
« on: February 15, 2011, 01:56:56 PM »
Team, just a quick note to say that you can now easily embed video from pretty much all of the online video hosting services simply by pasting the page URL in a forum post. For instance, if you wanted to embed this nice little Weegee interview on YouTube into a forum post, just paste the 'Share' code (which is the same as the URL of the YouTube page) into the main body of your post like this:

Code: [Select]

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iP4Y_fAvOgY

Next thing you know...hey presto, we have video in your post!

Weegee Tells How

Similarly, if you want to include a video hosted on Vimeo, the process is the same.

Code: [Select]

http://vimeo.com/12472231

Gives you this:

Classic Photography

Gents, let's keep it to boring old photography can we? Otherwise I'll have to set up another board to cater for comedy clips as recommended by the Filmwasters.

Yeah, that's exactly what I mean, Francois. I'm glad that you, of all people have understood the underlying point and not tried to score a cheap laugh by adding to the growing total of embedded video in this thread which doesn't relate to photography.
