I don't know... this project has always been a bit mysterious and not updated in a long time...
My guess is the guy probably shoots some Lucky film since it's cheaper than DIY...

I applaud this project! I just hope he doesn't accidentally shmear Silver on his bagel!

(I'm always a bit jealous of people who don't live in New York and have the room to do these sorts of things.)

I agree with Francois....this has been on Flickr forever, but no new updates or anything. Maybe the guy took it so far and then stopped? Full marks for taking it as far as he did though even if that is the case.

OK, I'll revise my comments slightly after reading the first page and the last 2 pages of this thread http://www.apug.org/forums/forum205/45479-film-coating-machine-homemade-flickr.html on APUG. It seems that as recently as a year ago our hero was making good progress. No news since then, but certianly more recent info that I had though.

my guess he's just doing it for his own enjoyment. hm.. hey ed, ain't you got any good researchers and someone in the area to knock on his door and do an interview for the next video podcast? ;)
