Theme: "Mugshots"

Inspired by this thread on the forum and kicked up a notch by a certain Ms. R. Pendel we bring you, "Mugshots", the first Filmwasters collaboration for 2011.

There is no right or wrong in a Filmwasters collab, but this one's all about crime, criminals and the booking-in system. So either step into the gutter with your favourite characters from a David Goodis novel, or get your analytical super-sleuth heads on and go catch the baddies. Your submission does not need to be a self-portrait.

There is no 'time served' rule with these collaborations so don't worry if you only registered with us a week ago. Join in. The work we receive is always diverse and high-quality and the more people that get involved, the better the resulting gallery will be. So load up you cameras and get wasting film (and/or paper, glass, chemicals, tin, liquid light etc.).

Submission Deadline:  midnight BST Sunday, 6th March 2011

Basic requirements: (besides being shot on film of course)

JPEG Requirements: One JPEG image. 72dpi.  Not larger than 600-750 ppi. in
length or width. No more than 200kb.

PLEASE include your name in the image file name (e.g. "Dave Snapper - Mugshots.jpg")

**ALSO INCLUDE**

• A brief narrative from the perspective of the imaginary police photographer who took the mugshot(s). It can take any form you want, but we will not publish your photo unless it is accompanied by this fictional description.
• The camera, process and/or type of film used
• Your website or blog address that you'd like listed

EMAIL SUBMISSIONS to filmwasters [at] gmail.com (please write "Mugshot Collab Submission" in the subject bar so we can organise them).

Have fun with it, but "Hey, let's be careful out there."
