New toys!
« on: August 07, 2010, 11:17:33 AM »
Someone at work was clearing out some unwanted old photography stuff.  Looks like I'm gonna have to build me a darkroom!

A few nice old things here including a free Practical Photography grey card still  in its delivery envelope.

Might need to call on the help of a few experts here with the enlarger, I don't know one end of an enlarger from the other!

a nice haul - some interesting stuff there! Is that a box of original ilford Multigrade contrastfilters?  superb - not useable with modern MG paper though :(

And an old Photax enlarger to boot!
Pretty simple to use. The extension tube goes on first. Then the lens assembly with the bellows (lens down...).
You put the lamp housing on top of that. There are going to be some condensers in it.

A more spread out view would make putting the parts together much easier :)

Film is the vinyl record of photography.

Miles: Yeah that's the chap! Did I beat you to them?  ;)

Francois: Cheers - when I've got round to sorting it all out I'll take a better snap and return for more guidance!  Ok so the consensing lens is the one that goes in the bulb holder - in that case there are a couple of them.
