Jobo compatible film reel for 127 film
« on: July 31, 2010, 06:57:57 PM »
I'm getting a 127 film camera and I'd like to develop the film in my Jobo 1520 tank. However the spool that I have doesn't support 127 film. As I couldn't find any definitive information do you guys know if a compatible 127 film spool exists or do I have to buy a new tank?

I thought most of the plastic jobo/Paterson reels are extendable to fit 35mm 127 and 120? All my Paterson types definitely do

My Patterson reels do all those formats....which isn't much help to urban, but I guess the message is that we're surprised that the Jobo seems not to.

Are the reels diameters all the same ? I'm guessing that they are... Since you've got the tank already why not try to get just the reels on ebay ? ;)

Good idea! Could someone measure their Paterson spool for me? The diameter of the spool itself and of the hole. Hopefully it will fit into my Jobo tank, but I'd like to know for sure beforehand.

So, I ended up buying a Paterson tank. The reel does NOT fit into the Jobo 1520 tank. It's a tad too big. Thanks for the help anyway, I can now develop two rolls of film at (about) the same time which is not a bad thing either.

Urban, I'm a charter member of www.onetwoseven.org/uk where most people do their own processing. If you post there, I'm sure you'll get a very specific answer.

Thanks Mart. I'll head over there (it's actually http://www.onetwoseven.org.uk/ ), but the Paterson tank I bought should work out fine.
