200 million... I think I could afford a Leica à la carte then... Or maybe an Alpa... or maybe both  ::)

Just saw somewhere (Yahoo maybe) that this might possibly be a very elaborate hoax.  Seems there are issues regarding authenticity.  Tune in next week for more Tales of Ansel Adams!

Rick Norsigian absolutely does NOT want to hear about Uncle Earl!!

But if they do turn out to be Earl's photos then what does that say about photo experts and the quality of Ansel Adam's work over that of other competent photographers?

Got a point there.
I know Ansel's "straight photography", especially when it came to portraits, never really impressed me. Ed gets results that are just as good with his Polaroid.

I smell a beady-red-eyed rat on this one. Not least of which because he still holds them, they are not sold. So, all he has now is a $50 box of negative... Until some coughs up $200 billion, that is all he holds... Skj.
