It's the weekend!! 25th June.
« on: June 24, 2010, 11:52:07 PM »
I drive past these greenhouses alot, been meaning to stop forever but I'm always trying to get somewhere so never do.
Anyway they've been emptied out and put up for sale and they'll probly get knocked down so I put the brakes on at last.
I have a bit of a thing for glass.

It's Hassy with 800z.

My weekend get off to an interesting start when Jacqui came home from school pickup today with half of Amy's class plus mothers and siblings. 18 kids at Wenn Mansions on a Friday afternoon. Hmmm. Seemed like the one good thing that i could get out of it was a few nice snaps of all the carnage. Here's one of them.

Tachihara field camera with expired Polaroid Type 72 film. This is the scan of the goop neg.

There will be one or two more from me in this thread. Earlier in the day Damion and I shot a few portraits with the same setup.

Apologies for a second post but thought you would like to see Hectors peat stack. This is the recently built 2010 stack just next to his 2009 lower stack - which now also has a 'porch' as he put it. Hector and his wife Ishbell got the peats done early but  said he built this stack a bit narrow so he had to go higher. These are to heat his home and to cook with for the whole year.
You can always see an incomers house as, if they have a peat stack at all - and we do - its small, misshapen or just a pile of misshapen peats!

Taken with the 1936 Ikonka 645 delta400/FD10. Neg scan

since I'm following Phil with his vase of flowers, I offer a flowery shot from one of my faster pinhole cameras.   :)

I grew up with these flowers in Texas, so when I found them here in New Mexico it was a happy occasion!

Lot's of good stuff here as mentioned before.   :)

I've been playing with Ifrared so offer you this as my contribution. There's more, lots more! but sometimes I think that once you've seen one you've seen them all. EFKE Ifrared in the Canon FTb.
Vicki, I know where you've been!! I've driven past that a lot and thought the same but haven't stopped to do antyhing about it!. I love the contrast of the red against the bluish glass.

I've been trying to find time to test some cheap Shangai GP3 100 film, it's been sat in the camera for weeks now, so I took it with us to the beach yesterday, determined to finish the roll off.  Guessed the exposure and got worried later that I'd probably overdone it a bit, and after reading that this film can be a bit contrasty anyway I thought I'd have a go at stand developing for the first time (1minute agitation followed by 60 mins standing  in 1+100 rodinal).  This film is cheap, it feels thin (makes it wasy to load on the dev reel though!) and people say its curly but I've known worse.  It's good enough for me and my wallet   :)

Vicky,  when I first saw the greenhouse photo, I thought it was a book jacket.  Seemed like an odd photo for a book called, "Trees," but a great looking image.

Love the desaturated color you're getting.  What film?  Or what are you doing to it in printing/post processing?

thanks rolo.
it's expired fuji 800z...it hasn't got a date on it and through messing up so much with it i've found it best to really over expose.

there's no desaturation but i nearly always adjust colour slightly, though it's barely noticable on this one.
