It was a good to for film today (at least for me ;) )
« on: June 26, 2010, 07:37:29 PM »
First I managed to find the time to develop a roll of film that has been waiting for quite a while. Then I was able to shoot three rolls with my Yashica Mat at the barbecue without anybody noticing. And when one of the guys (shooting digital) noticed my camera he got really excited and asked many questions and when I mentioned that they go for less then 100EUR these days he said he'll look for one today! Oh and of course the battery of the DSLR of the other guy went dead and I had to shoot the cake ;)

So that was my day today. How about you?

That sounds good :)

Mine has been sorting out paperwork going back 10 years...groans....but I'm now scanning some pictures of the cherry tree. Normally the birds have stripped it by now but this year for some reason they're letting us have them.

Strange but I too shot pics at a barbeque for a catering company late Saturday night, Sunday Morning.

I also had cherry tart and ice cream this evening at my sons birthday party.

I too finally got into the darkroom to process film. Friday night, a little scotch, a little Rodinal... Good times.  Realize it had been over a year since I'd souped some film.  Developed the first B&W roll from my Konica 1.  Doesn't look too bad.  The rest of the weekend eaten up with lawn mowing, late work nights,  house renovations, child attention...  Now it's Sunday and the wife wants something "good" to eat.  Preparing mussels, steak, red peppers, wine and cheesecake.  The best part, between first and second course, developed the first roll from my Balda Rigona.  Scale focus and guesstimate exposure, and it looks great, aside from the fact I didn't know the proper advance technique and only got half the frames. Next roll...

I just realized that the subject doesn't make sense at all. I guess I was just too excited. I do hope the films come out as good as I feel that they should (probably not).
